Best of 2015: Documentaries

It was a great year for the docu, TV Series or film, and opened our minds to great tragedies, social injustices, and the criminal justice system. Here are my can't miss docu's from the past year.

5. Amy

Everything she sang about was true.

4.The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst

This story takes place in the county I grew up in, Westchester. A great true crime story, and one hell of a ride.

3. Making a Murderer

Steven Avery was wrongfully convicted of sexual assault and spent 18 years in prison. Less than two years later, he is charged with the murder of Teresa Halbach. He is convicted of murder in the first-degree and sentenced to life in prison largely based off coerced testimony from his then 16-year-old nephew.

2. Tyke Elephant Outlaw

Watch this if you need a reason to never support animal captivity again.

1.Winter On Fire: Ukraine's Fight for Freedom

Social change is happening all over the world. As we continue to become more connected, events like this will send ripple effects to other parts of the world.

This is my pick for top docu of the year.
